International Program in Economics accepts approximately 15 students a year. Students may enroll either in April or October.

UTIPE offers a two-year Master degree program in English, and the program does NOT require Japanese language ability to obtain the degree. Approximately 15 students per year have been accepted for the program offered by the Department of Economics of Division of Economics, and the students may choose to enroll either in April or October. To complete the program, UTIPE students are required to complete a minimum of 30 credits by the end of two years including the completion of a Master thesis, which will be supervised by one of the UTIPE professors (See UTIPE Faculties) and the thesis defense. The core courses comprise of Macroeconomics, Microeconomics and Econometrics. UTIPE students have a wide selection of courses to choose from both in English and Japanese (See the list of courses); however, it is advised to check the language of instruction before the course registration.
